Cream of Wild Rice: Nutty, Minnesota-grown wild rice pairs perfectly with onions, celery, and mushrooms in a thick, rich vegetarian broth. Customers have added slivered almonds, julienned carrots, diced cooked pheasant, and splashes of sherry. I say, Go ahead. Gild the lily!

Garden Vegetable & Barley: Savory broth brimming with nutritious barley and eight garden vegetables - onions, carrots, peas, celery, leeks, tomatoes, green peppers, and garlic. Serve with crusty French bread so you can soak up every delicious drop of soup. If desired add cooked, cubed chicken, ham or beef.

Northwoods Hearty Chili: Sensational vegetarian chili mix packed with protein-balanced nutrition and flavor. Red beans, bulgur wheat, an array of vegetables (green pepper, onion, garlic, and more) and a just-right, not-hot blend of spices, including garlic and cumin. You add canned tomatoes, and if desired, ground beef.

Cranberry Wild Rice Pilaf: Delicious, stick-to-your-ribs hotdish/casserole made with nutty wild rice, hearty barley, and fruity craisins. Seasoned with sage and marjoram, it’s perfect anytime of the year, but it’s especially wonderful at Thanksgiving.

The Secret Garden is a woman owned and family operated Minnesota company. It all started when a little family moved to northern Minnesota in 1972 and were determined to live off the land. As their garden got larger, they found creative ways to preserve everything and make home-made mixes. Some mixes were so tasty she sent them as holiday gifts for relatives, then decided to market them.

“Everything I make has to be wholesome. No artificial ingredients or preservatives, no MSG or aspartame. I don't want my kids and grandkids eating that stuff--and I don't want yours to, either. My mission is to make delicious, nutritious, value-conscious mixes that you'll enjoy preparing, and your family (and friends) will enjoy eating.”
